From more information send email to sales@RJAutomation.com Description: PilotCheck is a multipurpose hand held electronic safety device for boaters, general aviation pilots, and RVers. Designed and engineered with quality components. It main purpose is an electronic checklist to assist with safe operation of your vehicle.
Features: l Eight red LEDs and switches for 16 checklist items. l Twin ultra bright white LEDs for flashlight function. l Twin ultra bright red LEDs for night travel. l SOS pattern (red or white) LEDs to assist rescue operations.
Eight task lights serve as indicators for status of up to 16 checklist items. Corresponding push button switches are used to check off each task when completed. When all tasks are complete a single status light on top changes from red to green. The periodic green flashing LED reminds you that all tasks are complete. If one or more tasks haven't been checked off the status LED will flash red. Located on the top surface are ultra bright red and ultra bright white LEDs so the PilotCheck can be used as a flashlight in or out of your vehicle. The LEDs can be dimmed to increase battery life and prevent disruption of night vision. A special emergency mode of the PilotCheck causes the red or white flashlight LEDs to display an S.O.S. pattern to aid emergency rescue operations. Standard templates (see sample below) are included for boaters, pilots and RVers. Blank templates also included allow you to create your own. Other useful features are a battery gage display at power up, low power design and automatic shutoff for long battery life, and user customizable settings. Aviation Features: A timer can be used to remind the operator of such periodic tasks as fuel selection, lake watch reporting, and IFR reporting. This visual (LED) programmable timer is also available as a 250Hz tone signal to connect to the aircraft’s audio system. Operation: Push the black button on the side to turn on the device. After power up eight pushbutton switches and LEDs are used to indicate completed checklist items. The unit powers up with all red checklist LEDs on to indicate all items are not completed. As each task is performed the user pushes the corresponding switch on the side to turn off the LED for that task. Tasks can be done in any order, or unchecked by pressing the switch again. The red and white switches on the side control the red and white flashlight LEDs. Pushing and holding the red or white switches adjusts the brightness of the red/white flashlight LEDs. Holding down the switch for more than three seconds when the LED is at its maximum brightness with put the selected LEDs into SOS mode. Top black switch on the top will power down the unit. Typical template for boat operation shown here.
The PilotCheck comes with typical legend labels (self-adhesive/removable). However, the user can modify these or create his/her own labels. Compact size 2.5” W x 4.75” H x 1” D easily fits in a shirt or coat pocket, and has a built-in belt clip on the back. User manual, typical labels and (2) alkaline AA batteries are included. NiCad, NiMH or Li batteries can also be used.
